"Special Edition" of the Sonic Czar 3-knob Fuzz Face guitar pedal.  Classic '67 PNP Germanium design with "bias" option and high gain transistors.

First quality, hand assembled, boutique positive ground, PNP-Germanium, FUZZ FACE effects pedal. Based on the original 1967 Dallas Arbiter circuit. 

This pedal features a custom-made PCB of the original '67 circuit with modern components; the audio circuit stays true to the original Jimi Hendrix era design.  This product is professionally built and tested with the upmost care to create a quality product.

Transistors for this special model "Bias" model Czar are Chinese/high gain PNP Germaniums. This pedal has a hand selected pair of 3AX31C transistors, fine tuned at final assembly to bring the transistor bias levels to the designed levels to help ensure that classic fuzz tone you seek!  These high gain 3AX's provide a more aggressive fuzz tone.  The sound ranges from "normal" to an aggressive "saw toothy" tone.

Added to this, is a modern "charge pump" voltage inverter.  The charge pump allows the pedal to remain "positive ground" but provides the desired ability to daisy-chain this pedal with your other modern (negative ground) pedals, using the modern DC power adapters on your pedal-board!! (9V, negative center pin).  This circuit is a proven design with extensive filtering to ensure quiet operation.  You will be happily suprised at the noiseless operation, and ability to use your wall-wort without having to rely on frequent battery changes!

The third knob is a transistor "bias" control.  It allows you to further fine tune the fuzz tone you desire.  This control allows you to fine tune the bias voltage supplied to the Q2 transistor.
