Falling in Love with Trevor Blendour

From Family Spree Recordings:

I dare say you won't find anything better this year—and it's only April! (Note: CD release date). There will be good albums, very good albums, but none better than this one. At best, they'll be equal. Because surpassing it seems utterly impossible to me.

The moment you kick off "Don't Mean Maybe," with its echoes of Buddy Holly, the pop-punk of Parasite, Phil Seymour, and The Connection, the world becomes a slightly better place. Thirteen non-stop, amphetamine-fueled tracks and a cover that's truly iconic.

In case the name doesn't ring a bell, Trevor is, of course, the frontman of the indispensable The Blendours, who, from Des Moines, Iowa, have been delighting fans of one of the genres that has brought us the most joy in recent years for decades.

Let life be a little sweeter, let it smell better, and get your hands on this album. You won't regret it.

Don't be a stranger!
