National / Guyatone Violin Bass EG700V-2HH w/ OHSC & Tapewound Nylon Strings (1960s - Sunburst)

Model: Violin Bass EG700V-2HH

Finish: Sunburst

Set-up & Playability: Great playing with taped strings - very "Early Beatles" esque.

Case: Original Hardshell

Notes:

Here for sale is a really killer Guyatone / National Violin bass in killer condition. This beauty was traded in by Sarge at Creation Audio Labs here in Lebanon / Murfreeboro. Sarge is a regular customer of mine and he is always "horse trading" as he calls. His guitars are always in killer condition with all the work and upgrades already done at a professional level, so I never mind his trading.

This is a super "pill shaped" violin - not sure I have seen another like it! Guyatone made, Japan 1960s. We put tape wound strings on it because 1. it is lower tension and thus less stress on my neck. 2. It REALLY pairs well with the classic violin bass tone!

The neck is super straight for a bass of this age - this thing is a player and the pickups sound great. Paul McCartney eat your heart out! (I am pretty sure he is vegan and wouldn't do that.)

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics (if applicable), changed the strings, performed all routine maintenance and set the action low and smooth. All of our packages are packed tight enough to survive the apocalypse and we insure every parcel for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
