Mario Guitars Hybrid Hollow Jazz-Style w/ HSC (2012 Champagne Rainbow Flake)

One of the best playing Jazzys you have ever played guaranteed.

As many of you know, and a lot of you don't, Mario Guitars is my alma mater in a way. It is where I cut my teeth and learned all I know about the boutique and modern gear markets. Coincidentally, I also believe that Mario Martin, and his team (Shout out: Tim, Shannon, Ryan, James, Colin, Cade, Rex, and the boys) are some of the most talented luthiers on the planet. I have yet to play a modern boutique F-Style vintage recreation that comes anywhere close to the caliber of work and attention to detail as the Mario Guitars line. So, for all of these reasons, it is with great honor that I can now call myself a licensed Mario Guitars dealer.

This is a used selection from Mario's team, and a bit of a "vintage" Mario at that! This guitar is 10 years old! I bought this one locally while I was still working at Mario's, but I am pairing down my collection, so I thought it was time to let it go. (Plus I recently just bought yet ANOTHER Mario)

NOTABLE SPECS:

  • Alder Body, weight relief chambers -- read: semi-hollow
  • Champagn Metal Flake Nitro Cold Check Lacquer w/ "Rainbow Shift"
  • Maple neck with a Indian Rosewood fretboard
  • Standard C Neck Profile
  • Kent Armstrong P-90 Pickups
  • CTS, Orange Drop, Switchcraft -- Top of the line components
This guitar originally had a hand inscribed neck plate signed to the doctor that originally ordered the guitar. I am including it, but I got a standard spec "MM" neck plate to replace it.

This guitar has the "wolfie" headstock. When I asked Mario about that, he said "You better hold on to that one because I will never make another Jazz with that headstock." So hey, you heard it here, this is the only one.

As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action low and comfy. This guitar comes with a molded Stagg Hard Shell Hybrid Case, and I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full sale amount. For the last 3-4 years this guitar has been in my care, so it has been taken care of.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
