Homebrewed Teardrop Masonite Soprano / Nashville Tuning Electric Guitar (1980-90s - Penny Patina)

Model: Teardrop Masonite

Finish: Penny Patina

Set-up & Playability: Solid player - lot of fun in Nashville / Soprano Tuning

Case: None

Notes: Tuned with the EADG strings up an ocatve with the B & E normal (Nashville Tuning)

This thing came in a while ago and I dunno why, but something about it screamed "make this a Nashville Tuning / Soprano guitar." Plays really well and sounds great - this would be a great "secret weapon" for a studio.

Parts:

  • Handmade masonite body and pickguard
  • Unknown S-Style neck, circa 1980s. Korean-made Memphis, I would guess, based on the rest of the parts.
  • 1970s MIJ Bridge
  • 1970s - 1980s MIK Memphis pickup and neck plate
  • Stringjoy Nashville Tuning Strings

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics (if applicable), changed the strings, performed all routine maintenance and set the action low and smooth. All of our packages are packed tight enough to survive the apocalypse and we insure every parcel for the full purchase amount.
