From Musician's Friend:

Rugged, sturdy, and extremely road-worthy, the Dean Markley DME-3 Outboard Preamp provides +/- 10 db in three different frequency ranges (treble, mid, and bass).

While intended primarily for acoustic guitar amplification, applications for the DME-3 preamp pedal in music, pro sound, and audio are virtually limitless.
