Quick Specs:

Model: Gibson J-25 RARE Bowlback Acoustic - 1984

Finish: Antique Sunburst

Set-up & Playability: Plays great, ESPECIALLY give that it is a bowlback. One of the cleanest I have seen with very minimal swell, sink or cracking to the top.

Case: Hardshell Case

Notes: Really collectible guitar that also plays great!

BEHOLD! The super rare and highly sought after Gibson plastic back model, the J-25. These nearly indestructible beauties sport a synthetic polyurethane back, and a Gibson J-45 style neck. When this one came it, it needed a little love. The tuners were piecemeal and it had cheap plastic bridge pins -- so I upgraded them with vintage correct parts. The tuners are now 1980s gold Grovers and the bridge pins are Gibson REAL-ebony bridge pins.

The tuners and the bridge pins GREATLY improve the sound. This is one fantastic sounding guitar. To be honest, I don't really like round-back synthetic guitars as a general rule, they usually sound thin and are hard to hold, but this one might change my opinion on round-backs as a whole. It is a really nice instrument.

As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics, changed the strings, performed all routine maintenance and set the action low and smooth. All of our packages are packed tight enough to survive the apocalypse and we insure every parcel for the full purchase amount.
