Dixon "Dixon Pidgeon" Lawsuit Era Acoustic Guitar w/ HSC (1970s - Natural)

Fly, little buddy...

For sale here is a 1970s Dixon "Pidgeon". This is one is not one of THE lawsuit guitars, but it is certainly a design that ceased or changed a lot post the 1978 Norlin suit. The playability on this thing could not be better. Almost easy to forget it wasn't made by you-know-who when you are playing it. There are some minor dings and scratches and some seriously cool finish checking, but nothing structural or major. The biggest repair is an epoxy sink fill on the back. It is a bit unsightly, but it is completely solid. (See pics for full details.)

It plays pretty decently, but this guitar is not what I would call collector grade. Killer player grade vintage guitar though, you could gig with it no problem -- and again, it is 100% structurally sound. This one is in on consignment from my largest consignor, let's call him Rambo, as he prefers to remain anon. Rambo is a local collector and audio engineer / producer. I think I currently have about 20 of his guitars on consignment; and he keeps bringing more in every week. It is all good stuff so I have trouble saying "no" to Rambo -- also he is a pretty competent tech; so his gear is well maintained. Like all my consignments, this one is being sold "as described" regardless of condition.

So, if you are looking for vintage tone and a great player without chopping off an arm, or offering your firstborn to a forest troll, consider this beauty. All that wonderful full tone with no need for a second mortgage. As always, we cleaned it up, polished the finish, changed the strings and set the action low and smooth. This guitar comes with a hardshell case. I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
